Des Golden

Des started his career in the motor industry at the age of 16, serving his time originally as a Diesel tech. Progressing quickly through his training, He set himself on the path of becoming a highly qualified and specialised motor technician, attending numerous training courses in the UK, Germany and USA.

Des fulfilled his dream of having his own business, Opening Des Golden Services in March 2000 and has worked tirelessly to cement his stellar reputation in the motor industry, while never straying from his mantra of “setting and maintaining standards others seek to achieve”.

James Golden

AAE MIMI, Foreman / Senior Technician / Tuning & high-performance vehicle specialist / Hybrid & EV specialist

James began his career in the motor industry at an earlier age than most, beginning his journey before he even started school. Finishing school in 2013, he immediately formally joined his dad in the business and progressed quickly through the apprentice stages and continued to follow in Des’s footsteps by attending advanced training courses. In 2018 James achieved his level 4 qualifications in EV/hybrid vehicles.

James brings to the business a wealth of knowledge in all things problem-solving, high-performance, tuning and hybrid & EV.

Joanna Golden

Service Manager & Customer Care Manager

Joanna joined us in the latter half of 2021 as our service manager and is also our front-of-house person who ensures that all our customers receive the best experience possible. A graduate of UCC since 2019, Joanna has a psychology and sociology background but has also grown up within the motor industry. The eldest daughter of Des and sister to James, she knows the business well and brings to the team an excellent understanding of customer care and customer satisfaction. Joanna also holds certificates in first aid and is our in-house first aid responder and health & safety officer.

Olivia Golden

Office & Parts Manager

Olivia joined the team on a full-time basis in March 2024, having a background of sales and customer services.

She now controls our parts and performance portfolio. Having grown up with the business since its establishment in the year 2000, Olivia, the youngest daughter of Des, and sister to James and Joanna, completes the full involvement from the Golden family. She is the point of contact within the business for high-performance and specialised systems, liaising with suppliers and performance partners.

Sean Mulligan

Senior Technician

Sean joined our team straight from school, only a month shy of his 18th birthday. He completed his apprenticeship with the company in 2023, earning top grades in all aspects of the apprenticeship programme. He is a very valued member of our team and currently holds the position of Senior Technician with the hope of moving into the world of Master Technicians.

Danny K

General Operative & Valeting/Detailing Specialist

Danny joined our team in the latter end of 2023. He has proven himself to be an asset to the business through his valeting experience and keeps the workshop running smoothly ensuring all equipment is superiorly maintained and ready for use by our technicians. He is also responsible for customers’ vehicles being returned to their owners in pristine condition which is a very important factor in the ethos of the company.

Cian Shine O-Riordan

Apprentice

Cian has just begun the apprentice process with the company. He is already showing huge promise, and we are delighted he has chosen a career in the Motor Industry and has chosen to join our team, to do so. We look forward to seeing him do well in the apprenticeship programme.

Noelle Rea Coughlan, CPA

Financial Controller

Noelle joined our team in 2007 having just qualified as a certified public accountant. She brings to our business an invaluable wealth of knowledge on all things financial and has played a huge role in keeping the business on track and grounded. Noelle is our behind-the-scenes lady and has earned her title of Financial Controller by supporting and advising us on every decision and venture we aim for. She is a highly valued and respected member of our team, we are lucky to have her with us.
